AN OKEHAMPTON woman has won the top prize of £1000 in the Hospiscare Lottery ? after only playing for three months. The Hospiscare Lottery is drawn every Friday. For a £1 ticket there is the chance to win one of 40 cash prizes, with a weekly top prize of £1,000. Gloria Winchester?s numbers came up on Friday July 20. Hospiscare Lottery manager Geoff Stamp said that playing the lottery is one of the easiest and most fun ways of supporting the charity. ?More than 65p in every pound of the Hospiscare Lottery goes straight to providing services to local people and supporting our nurses in the community, at the hospital and at the hospice,? he said. He added that the chances of winning are also high, at about 190 to one.
