FLEEING by foot, motorbike or even a stretch limousine, hundreds of potential record-breakers streamed away from Princetown last Saturday in the 17th annual Dartmoor Jailbreak.
The teams of 'prisoners' in weird and wacky costumes attempted a variety of equally weird and wacky challenges as they tried to enter the record books while on the run from the prison.
Okehampton's ATC team headed for Trago Mills — via Dorset, while Clawton Young Farmers' Club headed for Warwickshire, collecting 20 different YFC banners along the way.

The 200-odd jailbreakers were 'released' by Mark Tyler from Carlton Television — the event raises funds for children with Cerebral Palsy at Vranch House School and Centre in Exeter.
Sue Gould, Jailbreak organiser for the last 15 years, said she was 'very pleased indeed' with Saturday's race.
'Teams have raised a record-breaking £37,400 this year, £4,400 more than 1999 and bringing the cumulative total to £346,400 since 1984. We are absolutely thrilled!'
