With more enquiries to Abilty Counts football in Tavistock and new children and adults joining the Tavistock Community Football Club group chair Cathy Sharp, treasurer Tracy Barton and secretary Allen Lewis agreed to support the families who are members of the successful Monday Group at the Tavistock Youth Cafe who now enjoy playing football.
Allen said: 'In 18 months of being set up, so many people with learning difficulties and special needs have played football at training sessions and matches around the county it really is exciting for all involved.
Head coach Will Reed has a young group of coaches under him and they are being put through courses run by the Devon FA. He said: 'I expect by the start of the season in September to have up to 50 members in our group , which is fantastic!'
TYCP's new updated website, http://www.tycp.org.uk">www.tycp.org.uk, will have regular news of events and matches etc. and already next season's fixtures are on there to see and a page for football news.
The three teams are very excited about playing on the new pitches at Crowndale which are looking really good.
Allen added: 'Once again a huge thank you to the local businesses for their support and a big thank you to TYCP sponsor Andy Chaney from Orchard Conservatories and our football sponsor Tim Schmid from Tavistock Tyres.
