The rain held off as 35 riders took on a figure of eight course around the Ministry of Defence?s rifle range towards White Hill, Willsworthy, Blackdown Moor and finally circling around Gibbett Hill near North Brentor.
Riders reported the moor was springy underfoot, making the course an excellent training ground for fast work and allowing riders to complete the well-marked 22km course in an average time of 1 hour 40 minutes.
