DESPITE a brave effort, Chagford went down to a strong Tipton side after conceding three second half goals.

For most of the first period, Chagford looked comfortable and capable of coming home with a decent result. Alex Gavillet put in a good shift alone at the front and a five man midfield dealt with most things the hosts had in their locker.

The second half seemed to come too soon and a couple of forced errors led to Tipton snatching a two goal advantage. Still Chagford came back and, as they searched for a goal, a late third effectively killed of the game.

The Firsts host Cullompton Rangers this Saturday, in the hope of avenging a recent defeat up there. Kick-off 3pm.
