YELVERTON Rotary Club recently paid tribute to a West Devon resident with the award of rotary good citizenship in recognition of her work with the Yelverton Memory Café.

Heather, along with the Rotary Club, has been involved with the memory café since its planning stages four years ago and she has been actively engaged in its operation with Rotary Club members ever since.

Heather lives in Tavistock and is also secretary to the Tavistock Memory Café.

Yelverton Vice President Ross Dent, making the presentation said that the good citizenship award was only awarded to those making an outstanding contribution to the wellbeing of the local community and in Heather’s case was fully deserved.

The Yelverton Memory Café meets at the Briar Tor Community Room every second Fiday afternoon and the Tavistock Memory Café meets at the Anchorage Centre every second Saturday.

The meetings are arranged to fall on consecutive weeks.
