THIS was an away game, the hosts being Parkham as Bradworthy?s pitch was waterlogged. A slightly odd pitch that was raised in the middle and down hill to both goals.
Okehampton Argyle quickly took command of the game, a hard push up the hill led to the first goal by Jacob Ayris within five minutes of play. Continuing Argyle pressure led to two further shots by Jacob Ayris and Andrew Collier, both narrowly missing.
Good defence throughout the game by Tim Doidge, Jordan Lee, Tom Battershall and Jack Stanbury meant that Bradworthy found it difficult to get many opportunities. Argyle kept up the pressure that led to Paul Gent scoring, and continuing good team work led to another goal by Will Searle making the score 3-0 to Argyle at half time.
Goals came thick and fast in the second half. A penalty shot taken by Jacob Ayris was saved the first time by the Bradworthy goal keeper but a rebound hit by Jacob made the score 4-0.
A shot by Jack Stanbury rebounded, hit Will Searle?s knee and went straight to the back of the net. Jacob took the next 2 goals, the next goal after that was a shot by Jack Stanbury and headed in by Jacob. The last goal against Bradworthy was an own goal.
