HAVING had a close run game with the top table team the previous week, it was always going to be tough against the second placed side.

Tavistock started strong and dominated the first 10 minutes with some good attacking play. A break away by the visitors saw a messy clearance  end in the opening goal. Tavistock were back on terms via a penalty strike by Horton. The goals kept on balancing out in quick succession but Tavistock could not take control.

The skills of the visitors when in the D were good and soon they were moving ahead in the score line. It was a fast end to end game and the usual flare ups occurred when the tensions were high.

Tavistock never gave up and fought until the end. The difference was the passing game and Penzance dominated in this field, as well as taking the opportunities that were created.
