Duchy Premier Gunnislake 7 Sticker 2 GUNNISLAKE started brightly and took a 15th minute lead. A Mark Warwick clearance was helped on by Jarryd Kelly to strike partner Nathan Dore who cut in from the left evading challenges to score an excellent goal. Sticker?s keeper made good saves prior to his team having good spells of pressure either side of halftime, scoring shortly before and 10 minutes after the interval. Gunnislake showed great character and piled on the pressure. Dore set up Kelly for the leveller and goals then followed at regular intervals as Sticker failed to cope with Gunnislake?s attacks and in particular the pace of Kelly and Dore. Two Stuart Wakenshaw corners saw Paul Heath have two headed goal attempts. One struck the bar and the keeper saved the second but from each rebound a goal was scored. Dore and Kelly each on target. An excellent Gary Smith pass was centred by Dore for Kelly to complete his hattrick. Dore soon claimed his hattrick when he received a long pass from Wakenshaw and struck home from just outside the penalty area. Steve Cribb completed the scoring when he surged through to place a shot just inside the upright. Duchy division 5 Stratton 2 Gunnislake Reserves 1 STRATTON made it two wins in two matches with this hard earned victory. Playing up the slope in the first half Gunnislake did well to ensure this period remained goalless. A competitive and tight encounter continued in the second half with all the goals coming in the final 20 minutes. All three were scored by Stratton players albeit one was in to their own goal. This Saturday both sides are on their travels for 2.30pm kick offs. The premier side go to Dobwalls with the reserves visiting Tintagel.
