MEMBERS of Tavistock Youth Café will be going hungry next Friday in order to raise money for Red Nose Day 'The Big One' – inviting young local residents to take part. Café manager Abby Buckley and youth worker Ben Goodman will be working alongside young people during the 24-hour famine 'Go Hungry'. The famine will be held on Red Nose Day itself from 6pm on Friday, March 16 until 6pm the following day. Abby and Ben will be supported by volunteers Pauline Furse and Ashley Eslick, and youth workers Paul Dobbie and Gemma Glover from Devon Youth Service. Young people are aiming to raise funds for both the Tavistock Youth Café and comic relief. 'Any young person who would like to participate is more than welcome,' said Abby. 'We want to raise as much as possible for both causes, it will be a 50/50 split, so any donations for the Tavistock Youth Café and Comic Relief are very welcome.' Anyone interested in taking part should contact the café on 01822 612851 or email [email protected]">[email protected]
