OKEHAMPTON Rugby Club are holding their junior registration night for the coming season tomorrow (Friday) at the club.
The evening startss at 6.30pm with a barbecue. John Bickley will run his successful 'kit shop' where you will be able to buy kit for the coming season.
Rob Curtis, the juniors chairman, said: 'The Junior Section continues to flourish with new players throughout each age group. Throughout the summer the junior section have seen a number of coaches successfully obtain level one and two coaching certificates which will benefit all our junior players.
'In June we sponsored an RFU Referee's course with ten from Okehampton completing the course including three of our current Colts. We now have upwards of 15 qualified referees at Okehampton and North Tawton who will be used in junior matches this year.
'At the beginning of the summer we embarked on the RFU's Seal of Approval. After much hard work we are in the final straight and hope to be granted SOA status in the coming days.
'Over the last six weeks the Clubhouse at Okehampton has been completely refurbished with a new kitchen and general decoration throughout the bar and dining area.
'On the playing side the changing rooms have been given a makeover and new efficient showers installed.
Okehampton and North Tawton RFC welcomes new junior players, those new to rugby are particularly welcome. See you there.'
