YOUNG singers and musicians from the Okehampton area are getting ready for their big night ? the ?Gift of Music? evening.
Following last year?s very successful ?Gift of Music? evening, Okehampton and District Lions Club are again supporting the event this year.
A wide range of music from classical to rock will be performed by young singers and musicians ? all aged between 7-21 ? from Okehampton and the surrounding area.
Well-known traditional folk group Pennymore Singaround will also be performing during the evening.
Any profit from the evening will go towards the ?Gift of Music? fund which will be used to further the careers of local young musical talent.
The musical gala takes place at Fairplace Church, Okehampton, on Saturday, March 27, doors open at 6.45pm.
Tickets, which are priced at £4 for adults, £2 for children (under-fives go free), can be obtained from Donald?s in Fore Street or from any Lions member.
