TWO youths are due to appear before Plymouth Youth Court next week, following an incident in which a 15-year-old girl was thrown into the canal in Tavistock. The incident happened just before midnight on Wednesday August 23 in the Meadows, when the girl was picked up without warning and dropped into the water, suffering minor injuries. Police officers used CS spray during the arrest of two 17-year-old males, who were taken into custody at Launceston Police Station. They have been charged with assault and are due to appear in court on September 4.
