SOUTH Zeal Utd completed the double over Upottery on Saturday and made it two clean sheets in a row in a close contest that saw the visiting defence repel the opposition during a frantic final 15 minutes to secure all three points.

The visitors were on top for most of the first half and created some good chances that were not converted with Darren Gilbert and Harley Cann going close on a few occasions.

The deadlock was finally broken 10 minutes into the second half when Redd Cann and Daniel Gibbs combined to put Darren Gilbert in on goal and an excellent finish put Zeal into the lead.

South Zeal could have gone two or three up in the next 20 minutes but the home sides goal led a charmed life and as the game went on it seemed that Zeal were happy to sit back on their 1-0 lead.

For the last 15 minutes it was only some stout defending, with Tom Reilly and Ben Davey exceptional for the visitors, that secured all three points.
