CHARITY fundraisers ?The Hair Bare Bunch? got a fantastic boost to their coffers recently when their ?Giant Car Boot Sale? raised almost £800.
The Bere Alston bunch have grouped together to raise money for two charities dear to their hearts - Cancer Research UK and the St Michael?s Maternity Hospital Special Care Baby Unit in Bristol.
The boot sale was the first of many events they have planned for the coming year, with all proceeds being divided equally between the charities.
Fundraiser Sam Kendall said: ?We were thrilled with the success of the car boot sale ? hopefully the rest of the fundraisers will follow suit!?
The next event is a quiz night at Bere Alston Parish Hall on Saturday, September 18, which costs £6 per team of four. Further details on 01822 841290.
