THE revived Teignton Fayre in Drewsteignton to raise funds for good causes is back on Saturday.

The event plans to provide family entertainment throughout the evening with live music, children's fancy dress and dozens of stalls, plus simulated Sumo wrestling and food and drink.

Teignton Fayre was a popular and regular feature on the village calendar until the original committee disbanded in the 1970s. Revived by a new committee for the millennium celebrations, the fayre attracted more than 1,000 visitors.

In the year 2000, funds were raised for Drewsteignton Church, Whiddon Down Village Hall and Okehampton Maternity Unit among others.

Activities in the village begin at 6pm.
