A STRONG Torquay United first team squad will be at Tavistock?s Langsford Park for the long-awaited clash with the Nationwide division 3 side.
In the last warm-up game before the first league match of the season, Torquay coach Leroy Rosenior includes Tavistock?s Ben Camara who turned full-time professional with the Gulls just a few weeks ago.
Ben was outstanding in the recent pre-season friendly against Screwfix Direct League Exmouth Town, when he scored the two second half goals in Torquay?s 4-0 win at the Seasiders.
It will be a welcome return home for Ben and a serious game for both sides as they hone their skills in the final preparation match for the league season starting on Saturday.
Tavistock will continue to be without the highly talented Wayne Crow who will miss the early league matches with a knee ligament injury.
Tavistock chairman Robin Fenner said: ?We are not expecting any favours from our guests. This is United?s opportunity to take a final look at their first team squad in readiness for Saturday?s first Nationwide League encounter and our managers Craig Smith and Chris Abbot will have their last chance to view their charges against professional league opposition just days before the opening of the Carlsberg South Western League.?
Kick off on Wednesday August 5 is at 7.30pm and entrance on the gate is £4.
