PLEASE may I, through your page, thank the people of Tavistock for their generous support of the Great Daffodil Appeal street collection.  

Many volunteers gave their time to the collection and I would like to thank them all.  May I also thank the Lions Club of Tavistock. They collected for two days at Morrisons along with our volunteers. Their help was certainly much appreciated.

Thanks must also be extended to the Managers and staff of Morrisons and Lidl supermarkets for their support.

In total, £1,745.25 was raised.  This money will help Marie Curie Cancer Care provide high quality nursing, totally free, to give people with terminal cancer and other illnesses the choice of dying at home, supported by their families. Thank you.

I WOULD like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made Comic Relief such an enormous success at the Oxfam Bookstop.

The staff made amazing cakes. The musicians were fabulous. Thank you to Jeff and Cheryl, Hilly Mole and All Change, Margaret Norman, Mark Barnfield, John Austen and The Lost Boys and the Bere Ferrers Ukelele Band.

The generosity of our customers was overwhelming. All this despite lashings of wind and rain. Thanks again. A splendid time was had by all.
