AN autumnal community walk in and around Lewtrenchard Estate attracted 66 people, aged 3 to 73.

West Devon mayor and mayoress John and Margaret Hockridge had the difficult job of judging  the large collection of excellent and wonderfully crafted dressed sticks.

The winners were:?boys, Finley Loud; girls, Jessica Crease.

A fun treasure hunt was held on the way back. The primary school children were the first to return, having run the route as a cross country course.

A total of £213.70 was raised and will be divided between Lew Trenchard Primary School and local WI funds.

Thanks were expressed to all for a great afternoon.
