A NEW sculpture garden is opening at Bradstone Coombe next month, with a percentage of the entrance fees being donated to the Children's Hospice South West's Precious Lives Appeal. The garden will feature the sculpture of award winning artist Paul Vanstone, whose family have lived in Devon and Cornwall for at least 200 years. Mr Vanstone has a growing reputation for his sculpture and has a number of exhibitions in galleries throughout the UK, including the Somerville Gallery in Plymouth and the Lemon Street Gallery in Truro. In 2006 a group of his sculptures were exhibited at the National Trust Garden at Trelissik near Truro. Many private collectors have installed his work in their gardens and homes, including Lord and Lady Carrington and the owners of Blair Atholl Castle in Scotland. The two acre Coombe Sculpture Garden surrounds the 17th century listed building of Bradstone Coombe. It contains many features of interest to gardeners as well as Mr Vanstone's sculptures. The exhibition will be open throughout June from 11am to 5pm from Wednesday to Sunday.
