PUPILS and staff at Meavy and Lady Modiford's C of E primary schools were delighted earlier this term to take delivery of a range of new computing equipment which will dramatically improve the ICT provision available to the children.

The two schools, which together form the West Dartmoor Federation, purchased the new equipment using school capital funds held by the Diocese of Exeter, as well as generous donations from the Meavy PTA and the Friends of Lady Modiford's (FOLM) following a series of fund raising events which included quiz nights, fairs and cake sales.

The equipment purchased includes new, more powerful servers for each site, a class set of laptop computers and new projectors to replace the ageing units in classrooms.

Also installed at Lady Modiford's was a new projector in the main hall which will add a more visual aspect to the daily acts of collective worship.
