A WEST Devon charity is inviting people to donate to its Jubilee appeal to help local groups and organisations.

Activistock is a charitable fund created by West Devon residents and held in the Devon Community Foundation endowment, invested and the income generated is used to support voluntary groups in West Devon.

The fund will give out around £1,800 this year.

Thanks to local generosity, the Activistock Fund already stands at £60,000, so next year there should be much more to distribute.

To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee year, organisers are holding an Activistock Jubilee Appeal in the hope of making the fund ten times bigger.

People can donate any amount they wish, but organisers are hoping for donations with a jubilee theme with a suggestion of a celebration donation of £6, silver jubilee donation of £60, golden jubilee donation of £600, or a diamond jubilee donation of £6,000.
