AN exciting line-up of events will be taking place this weekend at a Rotary weekend charity beer festival.

Hatherleigh Rotary Club, together with Crediton Boniface, have organised the two-day event taking place at the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum.

Starting tomorrow evening (Friday), there will be a hog roast, horse race and live music from Barnaby and the Cornish Wurzells.

The festival continues on Saturday with a host of activities, including morris dancing, laser shooting, fairground rides, a bouncy castle, medieval stocks and a barbecue.

There will also be a chance to take part in the Chicken Poo Challenge, and Devon's Got Talent show, which will be open to all — a prize of £100 will go to the winner. The England football match will also be shown on Saturday night — provided they qualify!

Friday evening's events will begin at 6pm and will cost £5 per head, and the festival continues on Saturday at 2pm. Entrance on Saturday is free.

Proceeds for the evening will go to Children's Hospice South West, Exeter Leukaemia Fund, Force — working in Devon for cancer sufferers, the Ellen Tinkham School for Disabled Children and other Rotary charities
