FIREMEN will be on hand at Hatherleigh Fire Station?s Fun Day on Saturday, July 30. The day, which starts at 1pm will include a chip pan demonstration, community fire safety vehicle to show children the dangers of fire, and a barbecue. Firefighters will also be talking to anyone interested in joining the service as a retained firefighter. All funds raised on the day will be donated to the Fire Service?s National Benevolent Fund which helps ill and injured firefighters.
