BINGO returned to Princetown at the Primary School after a long break last Friday with a St Georges' Day Special, which was organised by the Princetown Community Fund and with thanks to headteacher Ali Hirst.

About 50 locals enjoyed two good sessions and a raffle, with refreshments provided. Caller Fiona Taylor made sure plenty of laughter accompanied the games.

A special prize was awarded to the St George and the Dragon fancy dressed team of Wendy Stones and Barbara Neale. In all, the event raised more than £200 which will be divided between the School and the Community Fund.

Princetown Community Fund Chairman Mike Kinsey said 'This was a really fun evening and there's an obvious appetite to repeat it, so we'll look at doing it again, maybe once each half term. It's great for the school and for the community.'
