STAFF at Meadowlands Leisure Pool in Tavistock have bid a fond farewell to David Dennis as he leaves his post as business manager.

David has been looking after Meadowlands for the last four years and is now taking the post of aquatics advisor at Parklands Leisure Centre in Okehampton.

This will give him the opportunity to spend more time getting involved with teaching swimming, which is his first love.

David was presented with an engraved pen set by his Meadowlands team. He will still be seen at Meadowlands occasionally, mainly in his role as a swimming teacher.

David's role as business manager will be taken over by Dave Smith who comes from St Ives Leisure Centre in Cornwall.
