A GROUP of West Devon Rainbows enjoyed a visit to a popular supermarket recently, discovering exactly where food comes from.

As part of Bere Alston Rainbows' 'Farm to Fork' scheme and their 'Cookafun' badge, the girls were shown around the supermarket's bakery, sampled various different cheeses and fruits and even held different types of fish.

Rainbow leaders and the youngsters then had the chance to explore the warehouse and walk through the big fridge and into the freezer to see where all the deliveries are unloaded.

For the finale the girls then went upstairs to the staff canteen where they all enjoyed refreshments, were given an activity bag with facts and puzzles and even received a large Easter egg to take home.
