COMPLETING the Race for Life on Sunday week has enabled four colleagues from a West Devon opticians to raise £100 for Cancer Research.

The all-female team from Specsavers in Tavistock were joined by other family members as they ran the 5km course around Exeter.

Store manager Serena Ellicott said: 'We are proud to have been a part of such an important community event. Sadly, these days everybody knows somebody who has been affected by cancer, therefore it is up to us all to do our part in contributing to the fantastic job Cancer Research UK does.

'It is not too late for people who have yet to donate to dig deep to sponsor our run in the Race for Life to help others living with cancer.'

Cancer Research UK's Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK where women of all ages and fitness levels come together to walk, jog or run 5km to help raise money to beat cancer.
