THE Newbold Piano Quartet visits Tavistock Wharf this Sunday, June 11.

The quartet has established itself as one of Britain's foremost young chamber ensembles. Formed in 1995 at the Royal College of Music, the quartet made its Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room debuts to great acclaim at the end of 1999.

It has broadcast on Radio 3 and Classic FM and has performed throughout the country, including recitals in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Fairfield Hall.

Within the last year the quartet has won the Tunnell Trust and Parkhouse Awards and has recently won a place on the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and the South East Music Scheme.

The members of the quartet are Samantha Newbold, piano, Mathew Denton, violin, Graham Broadbent, viola and Tim Steggals, cello.

The programme will include Bridge, Dvorak and Brahms.
