Tavistock and District Netball League Fort Stamford 49, Lifton 3 FORT Stamford fielded a team which proved too strong for Lifton. Fort Stamford put on pressure in all areas of the court, making it difficult for Lifton to pass the ball without it getting intercepted. Ginsters 37, Blue Angels 7 SOPHIE Jury, goal attack for Ginsters, was in good form and did not miss many scoring opportunites allowing her team to establish an early lead in the first half. Blue Angels defended well with Zoe Stock marking well at goal keeper. Nominated players: Ginsters, Sophie Jury; Blue Angels, Zoe Stock. Delaware 16, Ginsters 24 THE centre court players from Ginsters worked hard throughout. Ginsters went ahead and were winning at the end of the first quarter by 5-3. Delaware got their act together and in this fast paced game maintained possesion in the second quarter and by half time were winning 9-8. In the second half Ginsters made some tactical changes and slowly pulled ahead to win 24-16. Nominated players: Delaware, Nicola Phillips; Ginsters, Sophie Jury. Team TH 49, Youngsters 5 AN experienced Team TH dominated throughout, showing good vision of reading the ball in defence and making it difficult for the youngsters to get the ball to their shooters. But when the youngsters got it into their circle they showed excellent composure and scored impressive goals. TH maintained the majority of possession and sunk the ball into the net at almost every opportunity they had. Nominated players: Team TH, Karen Channon); Youngsters, Emma Pullar.
