I AM writing to inform the many friends who attended the coffee morning held on Friday August 9 at 36 Brook Street the result of this venture. A fine amount of £280 was raised and I am so grateful.

This amount represents a great deal of kindness, giving and preparation by so many people and I would like them to know that their efforts are very much appreciated.

The money raised will be given to Salvation Army Children's Homes in Calcutta when I visit there at Christmas.
