A CHURCH-based Discipleship Training Course has recently started in Okehampton by Youth With A Mission Plymouth ? part on the national YWAM.
Pastor Mike Davies from the Inspiration Church, Okehampton had approached YWAM inquiring about the course and was delighted they were able to help.
?Kevin Colyer from YWAM offered their services to run the course,? said Mr Davies.
?We have basically brought the youth of two churches in Okehampton ? Inspiration and New Life AOG ? together to work through the programme.?
He said the course had appointed two team leaders ? Stephen Waters (New Life) and Roger Thorne (Inspiration) to head up discussion groups and open up subjects aired by visiting speakers. The aim of the course is to encourage young people to be ?enthused, focused and prepared to live out their faith ? both in the area in which they live and beyond.?
On Sunday February 9, Clare Daniel, who works at YWAM?s head office and whose parents live at Lewdown, will be speaking at Inspiration?s 10.30am service.
