OKEHAMPTON and District Local History Society will hold its next meeting on December 14.
The group will welcome Philippe Planel, who will give a talk on the Parishscapes Project.
The project by the East Devon AONB Partnership began in 2008 with the digitalisation of all the tithe maps held by the Devon Records Office. This could then be laid over modern maps to show the changes in landscape over time.
Last month the society enjoyed a talk from Paul Rendell, which used old photographs and postcards to illustrate the changes that have taken place across the moor.
Meetings of the history society are held on the second Wednesday of each month in the Ockment Centre at 7.30pm.
New members are welcome and anyone interested should contact Malcolm Francis-Laing on 01837 840158.
Non-members can attend at a charge of £2 per person.
