THE NSPCC Yelverton Committee recently held a successful Moroccan supper evening, raising £1,489.10.
The event was achieved with the help of Howells Butchers, who supplied lamb for the tagine, and the Book Stop, Brown's Hotel, Charles Steevenson Wines, the Cutting Company and Patrick King who all donated prizes for the raffle.
Visitors to the evening were treated to a memorable display of belly dancing by local group, Ameera and her dancers.
Thanks were expressed to all who supported the event.
The next fundraising event will be a plant sale and cream teas on Tuesday, May 14 at 2pm at St Paul's Church Hall, Yelverton.
