A SUCCESSFUL year’s fundraising at Anglers Paradise fishing lakes has seen £8,500 given away to local charities.

Proprietors Zyg and Rose Gregorek and daughter Zenia raised the money during their annual netting week, with archery, bingo, race and quiz nights, a treasure hunt, a tombola and pool and darts competitions. They also held other raffles and quiz nights during the year.

Devon Air Ambulance Trust received £2,500; Okehampton and Holsworthy Foodbanks £2,000; Blake House Surgery, Black Torrington £1,500 for their elevator; Exeter Hospiscare £1,000; Halwill Primary School £1,000 and Halwill Parish Hall £500.
