THE Church Hall on Okehampton's Market Street was a hive of activity last Friday, as it hosted a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Yasmine Butler and her grandmother June Gliddon organised a coffee morning to support the charity's biggest annual fundraiser, the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
Aided by a team of kind volunteers, Yasmine and June made drinks, sold homemade cakes and treats, and held a raffle, with prizes donated by a number of Okehampton businesses.
Yasmine said: 'People have been milling in and out all morning, the support has been really good.
'It is the first one we have done and it has gone well, so we have enjoyed the morning, really.'
Yasmine and June expressed thanks to the businesses who supported the raffle, the volunteers who made cakes and drinks, and everyone who supported their coffee morning.
