A DAIRY producer from Winkleigh was one of more than 40 Taste of the West members exhibiting their products at the prestigious International Food Exhibition held in London this week.

Torridge Vale Ltd, which produces quality Devon milk and dairy products, joined companies from Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire at the largest ever display of food and drink from an English region.

Sue Harvey, Taste of the West's trade development manager, said she was 'delighted' so many producers were attending the exhibition.

'Many members will be launching new products and packaging to an estimated 38,000 trade buyers.

'We are conscious of the present difficulties in the industry due to the foot and mouth crisis, but feel that IFE is a key event to promote the sector.'

Taste of the West, the speciality food and drink group for the South West, celebrates its tenth year this year and now represents more than 360 companies.
