A DONATION of £2,000 from Unilever Best Foods (Ambrosia) at Lifton has helped the recreation field committee edge closer to its target of £130,000 for a new pavilion.
The committee has raised £11,000 and the parish council added £10,000.
Steve Petty, factory manager at Unilever Best Foods, said the firm?s
attention had been drawn to the project by West Devon and Torridge MP John Burnett.
Mr Petty said the company was an integral part of the Lifton community and liked to contribute to it whenever possible.
