SOUTH West Lakes Trust (SWLT) and staff from Meavy and Yelverton Pre-school have teamed up to pilot a new Forest School programme for pre-school children at Burrator Reservoir. A taster session was held recently which involved the children making smelly potions, building an imaginary animal out of wood, developing a den and endless games of hide and seek. The programmes are running on May 12 and 19 and June 2 from 9am to 1pm. The Forest School programme is for children aged two to five years old and it is possible for them to do several hours instead of the whole morning if they wish.
