A SUMMER celebration of locally grown food is taking place in West Devon this weekend.
Hosted by Liz and Nick Whitwell, of Freed Range Farm, this is an opportunity to visit their farm at Mill Hill, and see what they have achieved over the last few years.
Taking place in conjunction with GrowTavi, there will be discussion about what is happening locally with food growing and markets, what we eat and how, its affordability and a chance to discuss successes and failures and learn from others.
It is also about having fun and enjoying the weather — so bring along a picnic and/or some money to enjoy the barbecue.
Parking is available on site, but visitors are urged to car share or cycle where possible!
For more information call Kate Royston on 07969 569444, email [email protected]">[email protected] or call Liz and Nick Whitwell on 01822 855686 or mail [email protected]">[email protected]
The address is Freed Range Farm, Artiscombe, Mill Hill, PL19 8NN.
The event begins at 1pm, with tours of the farm from 1.30pm and a general discussion about local growing, producing and consuming at 2.30pm.
The event will finish at 5pm.
