CHAGFORD Filmmaking Group is holding a free screening of the first film it has produced on Saturday September 3, followed by a screening of its last project.

The comedy, 'Woodwose', produced in 2004, tells the story of Lucy, who is sent into the woods by her vicious mother, only to return with some unusual new talents.

'Sir Lanval', the company's project in 2010, is based on the medieval story written for the court of Henry II by Marie de France.

The group is currently working on 'The Ballad of Mary Whyddon', telling the story of a young bride shot on her wedding day in 1641 as England was on the brink of civil war.

The screening of 'Woodwose' takes place in the Jubilee Hall from 5.30pm, with the screening of 'Sir Lanval' starting at 8pm.

Tickets for the screening of 'Sir Lanval' cost £8 and can be purchased from Sally's Newsagents in Chagford or on the group's website, http://www.fairytalefilms.co.uk">www.fairytalefilms.co.uk
