THE Hatherleigh man whose dazzling display of Christmas lights caught the eye of every passer-by during the festive season has this week totted up a magnificent £45 worth of donations for charity.
John Hill?s home at Moorview was bedecked with thousands of tiny twinkling lights throughout Christmas and New Year and although they were all taken down on Twelfth Night, donations from appreciative onlookers have still been arriving at the house.
The money has been donated to the new Okehampton Hospital Appeal and Devon Air Ambulance ? John and his family thanked everyone who had given so generously.
