AN ENJOYABLE day was had by all at the Red House Summer Festival in Yelverton recently. The event saw great attendance, with everyone spending their money and enjoying the garden. The festival, held as a function for the residents to enjoy, also helped to raise money for the Triangle Centre in Tavistock, and the Mustard Seed Centre, based in Derriford, which offer support and a homely environment for cancer suffers and their carers. The festival was brimming with things to see and do with stalls provided by traders from Tavistock Pannier Market, as well as others run by the residents, the residents? families and staff. Children also had a great day out, with the chance to show off their skills by having a go at the coconut shy, hoopla and hook the duck. The event saw everyone pull together in real community spirit, and after a very tiring but enjoyable day, £300 was raised. The money will be split equally between the two centres and the Red House, which received £100 to help fund functions which the residents look forward to each month.
