THE ancient church in Lydford will be holding its first Christmas Tree Festival from December 4 to 19.
The event starts with the lights being switched on by Lydford schoolchildren at 5.30pm on December 3, which is being followed by an evening Christmas Market at Nicholls Hall from 6pm. Entry is free to both events.
St Petroc's Church will be open daily from 10am to 4.30pm with light refreshments available at weekends.
Almost all organisations from the village are decorating a tree bought from the National Trust at Lydford Gorge.
