A FATHER and son team from Tavistock have walked a staggering 300 miles around the town since the start of lockdown — and raised money for charity along the way.
When lockdown began, Allen Lewis needed to provide a routine for his son Paul, who has autism.
Allen said: ‘All his routine came to an end and his enablers weren’t allowed to help or take him out — we had no alternative but to take him walking for his well-being.
‘He has taken to it really well and has been hilarious. We are all really proud of him.’
Each day the pair cover between four and six miles and have been sponsored by members of the public.
They have raised £700 and the money raised will be going to disability football club Tavi Specials Football Club.
