ON behalf of the British Red Cross, I would like to thank everyone who has supported the charity over the last 12 months. Thanks to your help, the Red Cross was able to support over 800,000 vulnerable people in the UK alone, and many thousands more overseas. More recently, the phenomenally generous response of the British public to the Tsunami Appeal has been staggering and has meant that so far more than 750,000 people have received assistance.
