TAVISTOCK and District Youth Forum is looking for youngsters to lace up their walking boots and take part in next year's Ten Tors Challenge.
The youth forum has been allocated three teams once again for this year's challenge — at distance of 35-miles, 45-miles and 55-miles. The 35-mile team has already nearly filled up for training but there are still places for the 45-mile and 55-mile teams.
The Tavistock and District Youth Forum has been entering Ten Tors for 18 years and have 10 qualified outdoor instructors.
The youth forum is part of the Tavistock and District Outdoor Education Forum, which was awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in 2013.
It provides more than 3,500 sessions of outdoor activities locally for voluntary groups, as well as running Ten Tors teams and organising the annual Abbots Way Walk.
Anyone interested in joining the teams should contact team manager Peter Challiss on [email protected]">[email protected] for more information.
