AN AFTERNOON jam-packed with entertainment, fun and lots of treats will be on offer on Saturday, as Tavistock resident Julie Jillians aims to fundraise to help purchase 3D printers and cartridges to help young people have access to 3D printed prosthetics.

As members of the public had been so generous in helping Julie's daughter Abbi, who was born with only one hand, get access and funding to develop the first 3D printed moveable hand in the UK, Julie is now fundraising to purchase the coloured cartridges for the 3D printers, so that children can have whichever colour prosthetic they like.

But cartridges cost £55 plus VAT, of which there are around 20 to 30 to a printer, so Julie is keen to raise as much money as possible and also hopes to purchase 3D printers for organisations which would like to help print 3D prosthetics.

The afternoon will be held at the Tavy Club from noon on Saturday, where there will be a host of children's entertainment, including a disco, glitter tattoos, appearances from Ironman, a Ninja Turtle and Elsa from Frozen as well as a variety of stalls selling wares.

There will be a buffet and bar and seven children's raffle prizes drawn every hour.

At 5pm there will be an adult raffle and at 8.30pm there will be a grand auction with lots, including £150 worth of children's disco vouchers, a cubic metre of seasoned logs, a year's swim membership at Meadowlands, an Annie Sloan painted free-standing unit and a three-hour tattoo session at Monster's Art Emporium as well as many other items.
