SIMMONS Park in Okehampton will be the setting for the popular annual May fair and duck race, organised by the town?s Rotary Club this Sunday afternoon.
The main event of the day is the duck race itself, when Rotarians acting as duck herds make sure none of the bobbing ducks makes an escape from the race track.
A £1 ticket, available from supermarkets on Saturday, will buy the chance of winning a prize of £100.
The first race will take place at approximately 2pm.
In addition to the duck race, there will be a variety of attractions to provide entertainment for all ages.
Attractions include a bouncy castle, laser clay shooting, target golf, skittles, roundabouts, archery, a barbecue, hot dogs, candy floss, car boot sale and charity stalls.
Music will be provided by Okehampton Town Band.
Sponsors so far for this year?s duck race are Okehampton Glass, Bob Gee Estate Agents, Peter, Peter and Wright, Gordon Vick and Partners, Bob Gee Insurance, Peninsular Milk, RWH Horsley and Son, the White Hart Hotel, Simpkins Edwards, Glanbia Foods and Stonelynk Insurance.
