ONCE again Christopher Denne (Letters, June 2) uses your columns in an attempt to put down George Mudge and his concerns about European interference. He does this by suggesting that it is not the European Parliament that will see such things as our main Post Office becoming a Spar shop, but our own Government. This cleverly diverts our attention away from the truth. The fact that our Government has given itself over to slavishly implementing all the European directives (France and Italy manage to quietly ignore a few) still means that it is those very directives from Brussels, as quoted by Mr Mudge, that are changing the face of Britain in a way most of us do not want. And this will continue until we say no to European rule, however administered, and just trade in the European market we thought we were joining. Only UKIP has this as its objective.
